About The Temple - Sri Shenbagha Lingeshwarar Temple

The original deity was established as a Lingam in the agricultural field in Shenbagham Estate, Madhampatti. The Lingam was worshipped primarily as a “Kaval Deivam ” by Shri Arumuga Gounder and his family which was later reinstated in a small temple. Many years later the Gounder family handed over the management of the Temple to Dr. C.Natarajan, a permanent resident of Serene Shenbagham where the temple is situated. The activities of the temple picked up momentum with the establishment of a Private Trust known as ‘Sri Shenbaghalingeshwarar Temple Trust’ by Dr.Natarajan which was registered on 16th March 2020 with the main objective of maintaining the religious and spiritual interests of the Siva temple.

Along with the Siva Lingam, the Vigrahas of Sri Ganesha and Kaval Deivam are installed in the Praharam where pujas are conducted twice a day. Additionally, pujas on Pradhosha, Sankatahara Chathurthi, Amavasya, and Ganapathi homam are organised regularly. The celebrations on Maha Shivaratri and Arudra Dharisanam are spectacular. The temple also facilitates spiritual discourses, and audio-visual presentations on occasion.
